How to Book Your First Scrim
Every booking on Infinity Scrims follows the same flow whether it's your first lobby or your five-hundredth. Here's exactly what happens from account setup to seeing your squad's result on the dashboard.
Create Your Account & Verify Your Gamer ID
Booking starts with an account. Sign up with your email, verify your gamer ID, and you're set — Infinity Scrims doesn't require any complicated in-game account linking to get started. You'll need to be at least 13 years old to register, and it's worth using accurate details from the start, since your gamer ID and squad tag are what organizers and opponents see across every lobby you join.
Set Up Your Squad Tag
From your profile settings, set the squad tag that appears next to your name on lobbies, leaderboards and results. If you're booking as a team, make sure your teammates are added to your roster before match day — every member of the squad will see the booking and its status reflected on their own dashboard once one of you books the slot.
Browse Open Lobbies
Head to the lobby list and filter by map, mode and time slot. Each open lobby shows the entry fee, the number of squads already locked in, and how close it is to filling. If nothing open fits your schedule right now, custom lobbies from organizers are worth checking too — they let you set your own map, mode and entry fee if you're the one hosting.
What if a lobby doesn't fill in time?
If a lobby doesn't reach the minimum number of squads before its scheduled start, it's automatically cancelled and your entry fee is refunded to your account — no manual request needed.
Book a Slot & Pay the Entry Fee
Once you've found a lobby, booking a slot reserves it for your squad immediately. Slots are auto-assigned, so you don't need to pick a specific number — the system locks in the next available one for you. Pay the entry fee at the time of booking; it's non-transferable to a different lobby once the match has started, so double-check the map, mode and time before you confirm.
Track Your Booking from the Dashboard
Your booking shows up on your dashboard the moment it's confirmed — no page refresh needed. If you're on a squad, this is visible to every member, not just whoever clicked book, so nobody on your team is left wondering whether the slot actually went through.
Entry fees are held in escrow until the lobby fills and the match begins — that's what protects both your squad and the organizer on the other side of a booking.
On Match Day
Join the lobby at the scheduled time using the room details shown on your dashboard. All scrim lobbies run with live anti-cheat tracking and replay verification in the background, so play it straight — the same as you would in any ranked match — and let the system do its job.
After the Match — Results & Payouts
Once the match ends and results are verified, winning squads are typically paid out within minutes. If something looks off with how a result was recorded, you can raise a dispute through the Help Center within 24 hours of the match ending, and our team reviews the logged match data before any payout decision is finalized.
That's the whole loop — book, play, get paid. From here, the best way to actually improve is to book consistently and start paying attention to how your squad performs lobby over lobby, which is exactly what we cover next in how scrims actually work.
